I design and weave scarves, fabric and accessories in my studio near the beautiful North Norfolk coast. My primary interest is in surface - colour and texture. Occasionally I weave small tapestries of the tidal patterns on the beach, but mostly I am drawn towards weaving cloth.

I love the versatility of weaving, and the fact that variations on a single weave structure or different yarn combinations can create such diverse fabrics. Inspiration comes from many things, I work with all sorts of source materials to give me a starting point for a sample warp. Sampling gives me the freedom to experiment with hand or loom controlled techniques in the vast range of available yarns. The handle of the cloth is not revealed until it has been cut from the loom and finished.  

Every stage of the process is filled with exciting possibilities.
